Support Your Local Lemonade

Ahhh…

The lemonade stand.

True story, my lemonade stand was my first entrepreneurial venture. Sometimes it was powdered, sometimes fresh-squeezed, Mom’s recipe. Scientifically tested (yes, I took notes) for quality and popularity. And then expanded upon.

Additional product offerings were popcorn, lollipops… there was one year I also sold seashells (because I’m a mermaid).

Jesse, my mailman was my best customer. (Some days, my only customer.)

My point is, the bug stuck. I loved making something that someone else enjoyed, found useful, paid for. I put every dollar I made into the business: fresh lemons, a bookshelf that I could build and move myself, etc.

When I read about Country Time vowing to pay legal costs for kids’ lemonade stands, I had 2 thoughts:

1. Who would kill a child’s little business venture?

2. Good on ya, Country Time! How can I help?

Here’s the story:
